Part 1: The Core Event (ABC Data)

1. The Topography: What exactly does your dog do? Describe exactly what we would see on a camera (e.g., "He barks rapidly, lunges until the leash is tight").

2. The Antecedent: What happens right before? What is the trigger? Did a truck drive by? Did someone knock?

3. The Consequence: How do you react? Do you pull the leash? Give a treat? Walk away?

Part 2: Context & History

4. Setting Events: When is this worse? More often right before dinner? When they are tired?

5. Frequency & Intensity: How often and how bad? How many times a week? Is it mildly annoying or unsafe?
